(Alternatively, in 'Window' ⇒ 'Preferences' ⇒ type 'template' as filter text and choose 'Java' ⇒ 'Editor' ⇒ 'Templates'.) You can create your own shorthand in 'Window' menu ⇒ 'Preferences' ⇒ 'Java' ⇒ 'Editor' ⇒ 'Templates'. Similarly, you can type 'for' followed by ctrl-space (or alt-/) to get a for-loop. You need to reconfigure either your language switching hot-key or Eclipse. Take note that many of you use ctrl+space to switch between input languages. Check your system's shortcut key setting in 'Edit' ⇒ 'Content Assist' ⇒ 'Default'. The default shortcut key (ctrl-space or alt-/) depends on the system.
